I love the characters, the well chosen cast and the way they were styled - I think Katia is one of my favourite characters - I actually know someone like her (hair style and everything). Maybe some of the show is improvised because I can't imagine how this could have been written so fluently, but if I'm wrong then WOW, kudos to the writers and the actors for carrying it off so smoothly.

On a more poignant note, I was quite moved about the way they subtly handled the subject of what happened to Sophie as a baby and how this horrific incident relates to her behaviour as an adult. The actor who plays him does it so well, that you are never quite sure if this is his natural persona, or if he is just that good (obviously the actor can't be anywhere near as daft as his character or he would never get any work). Stath, who is the main character is so self-obsessed, ridiculous, and a bit stupid - the Basil Fawlty of Property Management, but he is also quite sweet to his sister and is desperate for his dad's approval. Something very stale, archaic and boring in the air. The people, the high streets.there's a 'grottiness' which is reminiscent of growing up in 1980's North West London or Middlesex. I won't recount each episode, there is a synopsis for that, but I will say that the show is very well done.
